Freeport Rotary Club Holding Fundraising Events to Support Youth

FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — The Freeport Rotary Club is holding two upcoming events to raise funds for the youth in our community.

Applebee’s in Freeport will hold a Flapjack Fundraiser from 8 – 10 a.m. Saturday, January 12. Tickets for the event are $5 each. All funds raised will support the Rotary Scholarship Fund. For tickets, contact Kerrylyn Rodriguez at kerrylyn_rodriguez@yahoo.com or call Tonya Meyer at 815-599-7213.

On ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­February 6, Papa Murphy’s in Freeport will be giving the Freeport Rotary and Aquin Interact Club a portion of their pizza proceeds. Customers should be sure to mention Rotary and Interact when ordering pizzas.

Freeport Rotary Club is celebrating its 100th year. The service club was established in 1919 to provide service to others and promote integrity through fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. The Club participates in local services projects targeting youth literacy, scholarly recognition, student international exchange, and purchasing shoes for disadvantaged youth.
