Highland Summerset Theatre Auditions to be held April 1

Freeport, Illinois — Highland Community College’s 44th season of Summerset Theatre is holding auditions for its musical at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, in the Fine Arts Theatre located in the Ferguson Fine Arts Center.

The director is seeking talented singers, dancers, and musicians. There are roles for men, women, and youth. Girls and boys ages 5 to 14 are encouraged to audition. The musical also includes numerous adult roles of various ages. Highland students and community members are sought. Highland Community College Theatre Department actively seeks a multi-cultural cast.

Performances for Summerset 44 will be held July 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 at 7:30 p.m. and July 16 at 2 p.m.

There will be a dance portion to the audition. Please wear clothing in which you can move freely.

Due to licensing restrictions, we are not allowed to announce the name of this family-friendly musical until March 27.
