Oh Boy, This One Is Huge – The Pretzel City Winefest Is Coming To Freeport

Freeport, Illinois — The Freeport Downtown Development Foundation (FDDF) announces the Pretzel City Winefest on Saturday, May 20th starting at 11:00 a.m. for VIP and 12:00 p.m. for general admission. This is a new event for downtown Freeport. Tickets are on sale now through Eventbrite. Over 20 wineries will set up at participating downtown locations with over 50 flavors of wine available to taste.

The cost is $25 for general admission and includes 20 tastings and a souvenir wine glass. VIP tickets are also available. They include a one hour head start, 30 tastings, a souvenir wine glass, swag bag and a wine glass koozie.

The participating establishments include (but are not limited to): The Wagner House, Hilldale, Deininger Floral, Flair Hair Boutique, Rock and Rust, Frank Jewelers, This Is It Eatery, Luecke Jewelers, Wall of Yarn, Lindo Theatre, Martinis on Main, and 9 East Coffee. Proceeds of this benefit will go to support downtown Freeport revitalization through FDDF.

Freeport’s downtown is the core of the economic health of the city. With over 200 businesses, it is FDDF’s goal that the downtown district continues to be a prime place to live, work, shop, and enjoy. Interested volunteers can contact the office at 815-232-9000.
