Stephenson County Historical Museum Hosts Special Preview Showing of New Exhibit

Freeport, Illinois — On Friday, March 10, from 4PM-7PM, The Stephenson County Historical Museum will host a special preview showing of their new exhibit, The Art and Culture of Native Americans.

The exhibit will feature a vast array of the Society’s large collection of artifacts including archaeological items, bead and quill worked items, pottery, baskets, and more.

Special items such as maps and documents will only be on display at the preview show.

The event is free to the public and is given in partnership with the Freeport Public Library’s One Book, One Freeport program.

The location is the Stephenson County Historical Museum, 1440 S Carroll Ave, Freeport.

The main exhibit will continue during regular museum hours (Wed-Sun, Noon – 4PM) through the summer.

Regular tour fees will apply.
