VIDEO: Freeport High School Combined Ensemble Performs “America the Beautiful”

Freeport, Illinois — As one person noted after they watched this, “this gave me goosebumps” they said. The Freeport High School Combined Ensemble performed “America the Beautiful” as the finale during FSD’s World Arts Festival last week.

The 15th Annual FSD145 World Arts Festival was held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 with the event featuring portraits, paintings, sculptures, and clay projects created by FSD students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. In addition to the visual arts display, all band, orchestra, and choir students performed music selections which highlighted other cultures and countries.

Over 1000 students, representing almost one-third of the Freeport School District population, were featured at this year’s festival.
