Classic Film Series: Tales of the Old West

Freeport, Illinois — This Wednesday, Highland Community College and the Stephenson County Historical Museum have partnered with the Lindo Theatre to present a film series featuring classic westerns.

Before each movie listed below, there will be a brief introduction and a discussion led by Ed Finch, Retired Director of the Museum, and Alan Wenzel, former Speech and Communications Instructor at the College, following the movie.

The featured movies are:

  • January 11: Fort Apache;
  • February 1: Little Big Man;
  • February 22: Sergeant Rutledge;
  • March 12: Dances With Wolves;
  • April 5: Ride the High Country.

Per Movie cost is just $6 or you can see the entire series for only $24.

115 S. Chicago Avenue, Freeport. Noon and 7 pm (Noon only on March 12).
