DAKOTA, ILLINOIS — Dakota, Illinois has announced a change in trick or treat hours for the 2019 Halloween season. Due to the incoming snow predicted to hit the region, the Village has changed Trick or Treat hours to Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.
The Village says they hope this will help keep younger kids safe and warm and asks that you share this with your friends and family in the area.
Other communities that have changed their trick or treat hours this year are as follows;
- Lanark, Shannon, and Milledgeville changed to Saturday, November 2nd from 4pm until 7pm.
- Chadwick was changed to Sunday 2pm until 4pm.
- Rock Falls and Sterling were moved as well to Saturday from 4pm until 6pm.
- Pecatonica is changed to Sunday from 2pm until 4pm.
So far, Freeport’s trick or treat hours are still set for Thursday, October 31, 2019 between the hours of 5:00 PM through 7:00 PM.
