FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — A family-friendly event offering a variety of Ale, Art, Music and Food will take place Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 12 PM until 4 PM in downtown Freeport. The 1st Annual Arctic Ale and Art Walk will involve over a dozen businesses hosting all sorts of DIY projects, paintings, art, photography, music and more. Join downtown Freeport for a fun-filled afternoon of artistic exploration.
Here are the Arctic Ale and Art Walk stops.
American Garage Art will be a stop during the Arctic Ale and Art Walk February 23. They will have a design and print workshop going and you can also enjoy the watercolor paintings by Geoffrey Symanek while you’re there.
Frank Jewelers will be hosting Ariana Berman. She is a metal artist, and creates amazing metal sculptures and also has a beautiful life story.
Come ride the Trolley during the Arctic Ale and Art Walk and learn the history of Downtown Freeport with Abraham Lincoln.
Cookies!!!! And beer!!! Yum! Don’t forget to stop by The Cookie Jar during the Arctic Ale and Art Walk they will have cookies for the kids and beer for the parents.
While shopping at Twice As Nice Consignments during the Arctic Ale and Art Walk you can sample some Generations Brewing Co. and listen to the talented Clyde Cole.
While shopping for beautiful Jewelry at Swank & Mercier you can also find jewelry by Garden Gate.
Stop by Rite-Way Furniture & Appliance and see Cal Wescott. Angie Baker Bauer designs will be there with some fun DIY 815 signs. Also Raines Honey Farm will be there with their honey made goods.

During the Arctic Ale and Art Walk you can experience, Folk music by Marley Jack Van Raalte, pottery and art by Melinda Cook, Soap demonstrations and goat milk goods by Gretta’s Goats at 9 East Coffee and Catering.
Stop in and see the Brooke Deininger Wagner, Craig and Paul at Deininger Floral during the Arctic Ale and Art Walk February 23 from 12-4pm. While you’re visiting enjoy the beautiful food art from Cathy’s Custom Cakery.
Join Hilldale Deli during the Arctic Ale and Art Walk February 23 12-4pm for some lunch and a cake pop, then participate in Dawn E. Bertelsen’s Fire Art.
Join Meier & Co. for DIY projects (while supplies last) and check out her Lath art, also 143 knits will be there during the Arctic Ale and Art Walk in downtown Freeport.
Dreibelbis & Fairweather Studio will be presenting a photographic portrait series called “Little Horns”.
