Freeport Choral Society to Present “Sounds of the Season” Advent Concert

Freeport, Illinois — The Freeport Choral Society will present its Advent Concert entitled “Sounds of the Season” on November 19, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, 1010 S. Park Blvd., Freeport.

Gwynne French conducts the society choir as well as the Community Handbell Choir. Randy Cook will provide keyboard accompaniment, and Patty Weik will be on percussion.

The Handbell Choir will play two numbers as well as accompany the choir on A Choral Fanfare and Antiphonal Deck the Hall. A wide variety of styles of music will be featured in this concert from a choral setting of the Scottish Air Auld Lang Syne to the spiritual Sistah Mary.

Light numbers include Little Jack Frost Get LostNo Time to Diet by the women, and Up on the Housetop by the men.  There is no admission, but an offering will be taken.
