Get FiTeam Challenge is Back for 2020!

FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — Have fun, learn about a healthy lifestyle, and compete for great prizes in this year’s FHN Get FiTeam Challenge!

For just $25 a person, teams of four can compete with other teams in a 12-week health and fitness program aimed at helping participants develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Online-only registration opens Monday, Jan. 6 at

The challenge officially begins January 26, after all participants have had a chance to get a baseline screening to note height, weight, BMI, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. (Screenings are set for Jan. 22, 23, and 25 – participants can choose a time online. Every participant must attend one of the scheduled screenings for his or her points to count; there will not be “make-up” dates.) Participants will receive a Get FiTeam t-shirt at their baseline screening.

Throughout the challenge, teams will have access to healthy recipes, health-related events and trial memberships at area health and fitness clubs. Individuals will earn points for their team with exercise, drinking enough water, and eating five servings of fruits and vegetables a day.

Prizes will be awarded throughout the challenge, and at the end of the competition, up to six teams will have a chance at grand prizes. Each participant in the team that has the largest percent of weight loss will win a $250 gift certificate to a local health center/fitness partner or store of their choice (from the list provided on the website), and the team that earns the most challenge points will get a $250 gift certificate to a local health center/fitness partner or store of their choice (from the list provided on the website) for each team member.
