FREEPORT, Ill., Nov. 14, 2017 — The public is invited to join FHN and some very special guests as we light the community holiday tree to kick off the holiday season after Downtown Freeport’s Mistletoe Walk Sunday, Nov. 19.
Cookies and cocoa will be served and the Highland Youth Choir will perform holiday carols around 5 p.m. in front of FHN Memorial Hospital, 1045 W. Stephenson Street in Freeport. FHN President and CEO Mark Gridley and a special guest from the city will be on hand to flip the switch to turn on the tree’s lights, which will burn throughout the holiday season. Santa will be there, too, so tell the kids to bring their lists!
There is no charge to attend the Community Holiday Tree Lighting. For more information on this or any other FHN Festival of Trees event, visit www.fhn.org.
