HIS BIO:

I am a shredding guitar player that uses various musicians for backup. Any combination of these musicians makes an awesome band. One of the interesting things about seeing me play is that it will never be the same old thing over and over. I keep it fresh and entertaining, you never know who you will see playing with me.

Myself, I live and breathe the guitar. Besides my band, here is a laundry list of SOME of the people I have shared a stage with or opened for over the years: Cheap Trick, Foreigner, Foghat, Traffic, Kansas, Head East. Survivor, Mr. Mister, Slash, The TRUE Band of Gypsy’s Buddy Miles and Billy Cox (Jimi Hendrix’s bass and drums), Eric Gales, Otis Rush, KoKo Taylor, Buddy Guy, Billy Branch and the Son of Blues, Melvin Taylor (he was my teacher), Junior Wells, Kenny Wayne Shepard and Johnny Lang, Ronnie and Lonnie Brooks, Bo Diddley, Freddie Jones Band, Gatemouth Brown, Howard Tate, Corey Stevens, Kinsey Report, Gary Hoey…….. well, you get the idea. The beat and the list goes on.

PISTOL PETE Psychedelic / Rock & Roll / Blues

Great venue!PISTOL PETE: BORN TO BE BLUE…NOT! May 3rd Friday night. GOOD MEN CLUB. I showed up about 30 mines into the show. The moment I opened the door, I stopped in AWE! I felt the powerful wind was streaming from the stage were a trio of Pistol Pete (g.v.), Geoffrey (b.), Mark (dr.) was spicing the wind stream with… I couldn’t say what it was: it could be (figuratively speaking) blues, jazz and rock served on one plate as ingredients of high cuisine. From that moment on, it was a finger-licking enjoyment which regretfully ended around midnight for those who got to know Pete (AKA Ben) and his band members of 20 years (time tested creative marriage:). The audience was on the edge, singing along and dancing where they could find a spot big enough to express their acceptance of the new friendship. We spent some time after the speakers were turned off and the wires unplugged. While socializing with the band members at the GMC’s cosy bar, I was talking not only to very skillful/talented musicians but also interesting personalities whose musical talent and devotion contributed to the great American culture. While bidding goodbyes and shaking hands the sides unanimously agreed: till we meet again! Nick Chepovetsky, Jazz-Blues-Rock Aficionado ... See MoreSee Less

I have played in Poland, Japan, Canada, and all over these United States. I appeared on Showtime At the Apollo (came in 2nd) because the female trumpet player looked DAMN good in her mini skirt, LOL!

I won the Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Competition Midwestern Division and took a trip to Seattle for the finals. Several Thousand people entered this contest and only 100 were chosen for the competition. From that 100 only 10 went on to Seattle. I was one of the 10. The picture of me with Al Hendrix (Jimi’s Dad) is when he presented me with the top prize in Chicago.

I believe in playing with all my heart and soul whether it’s for 2 people or 20,000 people. I hope you will agree when you come out and see me.
