Ridott Community Church Celebrates 150 Years

Ridott, Illinois — On November 12th Ridott Community Church will celebrate 150 years with a celebration of history, family and music along with a a free fellowship luncheon from 12:00-1:45 p.m..

In 1867, the present church, a frame edifice 28×48, valued at about $2,500, was built on a lot on Adams Street. The whole building has since been rebuilt and remodeled. A parsonage valued at about $1,500 had also been built next to the church building.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. at the church located at 308 S. Adam in Ridott come enjoy fellowship and lunch at the Ridott Fire Station. The festivities will close with a time of music at around 2:00 p.m.. Pastor Mark D. Vlad and the entire Ridott Community Church family would like to invite you to attend.
