9. Independence Day Celebration

This weekend we will be celebrating Independence Day at Stephenson Nursing Center! Please join us Sunday evening, July 2nd, for a FREE concert and viewing of the Freeport Sky Concert & Community Festival from our facility grounds. We have a great view of the fireworks! The concert begins at 7 PM! We will also have concessions available for purchase. See you there!

6. Beer, Brats & Root Beer Floats at Wishful Acres

Noon to 5 pm. They’ll be firing up the grill! Enjoy locally made brats (cooked in their own beer prior to grilling), or a premium all-beef hot dog. Either option is served with Mrs. Mike’s potato chips for $4.99. Add your own condiments: sauerkraut, onion, relish, ketchup, mustards! Plus they’ll be serving $3.50 Root Beer Floats, made with their own delicious Homemade Root Beer and vanilla ice cream. Their regular craft beer menu will also be available featuring all of their craft beers which are made on site.

2. 14th Annual Briggs’ John Deere Days

Saturday: 9 am to 5 pm; Sunday: 9 am to 3 pm. 14th annual celebration featuring John Deere tractors and machinery, including two cylinder and new generation tractors, plus food, craft show and lots of great conversation with the owners of the tractors. All models and colors are welcome. An exhibitors tractor drive will be held on Sunday at 10 am. Part of the 8 Miles of Ag-tiques event. (815-291-4571)
