Hayden Keltner, Recipient of the 2017 Harlan Rigney Memorial Scholarship

Stephenson County, Illinois — Last night on St Patrick’s Day at the Stephenson County Lincoln Dinner Hayden Keltner was awarded the 2017 Harlan Rigney Memorial Scholarship.

The Harlan Rigney Memorial Scholarship is open to any student going to attend a public or private college, community college, or university in any course of study.

The scholarship in the amount of $1000 and is awarded to a college student from Stephenson County in recognition of the lifetime of public service given by the late Senator Harlan Rigney to the citizens of Stephenson County and the State of Illinois.

The scholarship established by the Rigney family was first awarded in 1996. The student selected is honored at the annual Lincoln Day Dinner.

Applications for the Harlan Rigney Memorial Scholarship are available at all Stephenson County schools and Highland Community College. The deadline is in February.
