SOLD: Court Approves Fieldstone Inn Sale To Manny’s Pizza

FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — In early November news broke that the Fieldstone restaurant located on Empire street in Freeport had been sold at auction to Manny’s pizza, owner of a number of Pizza restaurants in Savanna, Fulton, Sterling and Freeport, for an amount listed as $105k.

The news may have been slightly premature however, as a Stephenson County judge had ruled shortly after the auction that the sale was denied.

Today, the parties re-appeared in court and according to court dockets, there is now an agreed order to approve the sale of real estate entered. That means Manny’s will have a new place after all.

At this time we are unsure of the details of the sale, or when Manny’s will open in their new location but we’ll keep you updated.

P.S. In other news, we’re told Kurt Steffen, the once store manager of Cub Foods is back and is now the new Store Director at Cub Foods Freeport again. Watch Freeport News Network and Today In The Port for more. :)
