Pecatonica, Illinois — Located on Main and 4th street at the town clock in Pecatonica, Illinois you’ll find a new monument dedicated to a local man with roots all around the region.
Governor Bruce Rauner stopped in the area Friday and one of his stops was in Pecatonica where he officially declared September 28 “Frank Cimino” day in the state of Illinois.
Rauner noted that Frank Cimino immigrated from Sicily searching for a better future. He opened Cimino’s Pizza, raised a family, and made a difference in his community.
