Freeport Community Foundation To Host Virtual Grant Writers Workshop

FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — The Freeport Community Foundation will host a Grant Writers Workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, via Zoom. The Grant Writers Workshop coincides with the opening day of the Foundation’s Spring 2021 Matt Marvin Community Needs Grants cycle, which will remain open for applications through 12 p.m. Noon, Tuesday, March 2.

Participants in the Grants Writers Workshop will receive an overview of the Freeport Community Foundation grants programs, grant writing tips, grant application and reports. The meeting is open to any 501(c)3 organization interested in applying for grants from the Foundation. The Foundation strongly encourages organizations who are interested in applying for a spring 2021 grant to attend the meeting. Sessions times are:

  • Session A:    9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021
  • Session B:  11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021
  • Session C:    3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021

RSVP deadline is 4:00 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1; interested parties are asked to email the FCF at to register for one of the three available sessions. Phone/voicemail reservations will NOT be accepted. Capacity is limited to 15 registrants per session and Zoom log-in information will be provided upon reservation.
