Local Drive Being Held To Help Victim Families of Recent Tragedies

STEPHENSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS — The local community is getting together to help support the families of the victims who lost their lives this past Friday and Sunday in Freeport and in Cedarville, Illinois. A group is currently accepting locally available (Freeport, Illinois) restaurant, grocery store and gas station gift cards, which will be compiled into one and split evenly between all the families.

People interested in helping can drop off or mail in their gift cards by Friday, February 8th between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to:

Another effort is to help support Daymien, the one year old whose mother’s life was tragically taken on Friday in Freeport. The group is collecting new clothing items for Daymien. Daymien was in the back seat of the vehicle while his mother was being stabbed by his father. The incident has left Daymien without his parents.

Roxanne Goodman along with Logan’s is in the planning stages for a candlelight vigil for Kyle and Shaun and Gabby. They are asking everyone to come together for each other. Love, hope, friendship, family and community support to help point all of us on the road to some sort of healing. Saturday February 9th 7:00 p.m. at Logan’s.
