FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — Independence day is the day we all come together to celebrate the freedom of living in the United States of America and this year, one company is setting the stage as the 1st sponsor of the year.
Tri-Star Metals has stepped up to become the first “Stars & Stripes” Sponsor for the 2019 Freeport Fireworks. The 2019 Fireworks will be bigger and better this year with lots of games, food, crafts, live music, rides, inflatables, attractions and of course, fireworks.

Vendors interested in setting up a booth at this year’s event can get your applications turned in now. Organizers say they only have so many spots available, so click here to complete the application if you’re interested.
Organizing and fundraising has taken place all throughout the year in preparation for this year’s event. Organizers have held fundraisers at 312 Beef & Sausage, Applebee’s, Papa Murphy’s, Contemporary Hair Studio donated 10% of all product sales during the month of December towards the event, the group has held duck races, golf outings and as most of you know, dozens of other businesses and hundreds and hundreds of others pitched in a few bucks for the cause last year. This year the July 4th independence day celebration will take place on Saturday July 6th.
Entertainment lined up this year already is Cross Cut Band, with a special thanks to Steve Blum, Dale Diddens, Tom Sweeney and Rob Hendrickson. More entertainment openers will released as soon as the group knows more. If you’re interested in playing this year contact Debra Green at Black Diamond Music Studio and Sales at (815) 233-0118.
Also attending this year’s Fireworks celebration will be Captain Marvel, Lady Deadpool and the Spider Girls. They’ll be around from 5-7pm and children, or adults, can meet them and take photos with them. Michelle Bartch will also be back this year with her fun photo booth and instant photos.

USA ($5,000) – Your own banner at event, one free vendor booth space, title sponsor of one mini event for following year, (ex. Duck Races, Golf Outing, etc) and everything listed below.
STARS & STRIPES ($2,000) – Radio mentions, logo on our website, logo on event t-shirts, logo on all event banners and everything listed below.
Firecracker ($500) – Listed on all event banners (no logo), name listed on website, logo/name on one parking lot row at event and everything listed below

About Light The Night Freedom Fest
Light The Night (LTN) Freedom Fest is an annual Independence Day Celebration in Freeport Illinois. This event brings community members from across Stephenson County together to enjoy and celebrate our Freedom. The 2019 event will include family friendly festival with food, live music, family friendly activities and then concluded with a special fireworks show. This event is completely funded via donations, so every dollar is important to the event and its collaborators. The money collected will be responsibly spent on the event to ensure a great experience for the community and to ensure long term continuity of the event. We encourage you to not only donate to this event, but to become a fundraiser yourself and recruit donors from your circle of friends and family. This event is for everyone, so if you have suggestions, while we may not be able to incorporate them in 2019, we will certainly review your input for future years
