ILLINOIS — The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is stocking Yellow Creek in Krape Park, located at 1799 S. Park Blvd., with rainbow trout as part of the DNR’s Catchable Trout Program for public access waterways. Fishing will open at 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Any trout caught before 5 am on Saturday, April 6th must be released.
The enforced limit is five (5) trout per day. A fishing license and inland-trout stamp are required for anyone 16 years and older. Cost of the Illinois resident fishing license is $15 ($7.75 for seniors) plus $6.50 for the trout stamp. The license and stamp can be purchased locally at Blain’s Farm & Fleet or Walmart or online through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources at www.dnr.illinois.gov.
