22 Year-Old Freeport Man Arrested For 2 Counts of Delivering Cocaine

Freeport, Illinois — The Freeport Police Department issued a press release earlier regarding a felony drug arrest in Freeport.

The release stated that on February 6th 2017, at approximately 8:49 am, Freeport Police Officers took Da’Marcus Strong of Freeport into custody at the Stephenson County Courthouse.

At the time of his arrest, Da’Marcus Strong was wanted on two Felony warrants alleging that Strong delivered less than 1 gram of Cocaine to another person on 6-29-16, and again on 7-20-16.

The June 29th warrant also alleges that the delivery occurred within 1000 feet of the First Lutheran Church, which is located in the 300 block of S. Galena Avenue in Freeport.

The warrants for Da’Marcus Strong were the result of an investigation that was conducted by the State Line Area Narcotics Team (S.L.A.N.T.). The Freeport Police Department currently has two (2) officers assigned to S.L.A.N.T.
