Cops Mourn Loss In NYE ‘Krispy Kreme Doughnuts’ Truck Fire: ‘No words’

The Lexington Police Department posted a few photos online New Year’s day depicting heartbroken officers with their heads cast down at the scene of a fire.

“No words,” the officers wrote, and their colleagues from across the nation – from Colorado to Chicago – were quick to respond with messages of support.

“We feel your loss,” the University of Kentucky Police Department wrote. “We donut what else to say.”

After noticing smoke billowing out of the back of their Krispy Kreme doughnut truck, the driver pulled the truck over and escaped without injury.  Sadly, all of the Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the back of the truck were lost.

After arriving on the scene, three different officers posed in front of the scorched vehicle which were posted to the department’s Facebook page.

The investigation into the fire is ongoing as the cause is unknown.
