Freeport, Illinois — There’s not too many more frustrating things than waking up in the morning to find your car has been involved in a hit and run.
Early in the morning on Thrusday, December 8, 2016 that’s exactly what happened to one local Freeport family.
Dawn Stichter of Freeport said in a Facbook post that on Thursday morning shortly after 1 a.m. somebody hit her daughters car and then took off.
“It took place on Park Blvd. By the fire station. We do know that it was a Honda. They should have pretty severe front end damage, most likely on the passenger side”, Dawn said.
Dawn said that there were pieces of the car left in the street and that part of the headlight and the grill were also found. She said her daughters car was hit so hard that it turned 90 degrees when they saw it on Thursday.
Also pieces of the front bumper were left on Pearl City
The pictures were taken this morning, so they don’t show all of the damage. He car was hit so hard that it was turned 90 degrees.
The family says they believe the car is a Honda Civic Hybrid and they are asking for anyone who might have information about this accident to contact them, or contact the Freeport Police department.
