MIAMI — Eight people, five of them juveniles were wounded in a shooting that took place at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park near northwest Miami-Dade on Monday.
Daniel Ferrin, Detective and Police Department spokesman said in a news release that two suspects are being questioned about the Monday afternoon shooting. Two firearms were recovered and the active investigation is continuing, Ferrin said.
The Miami Herald reported hundreds of people were in the park after the annual MLK Day parade in the Liberty City neighborhood.
Ferrin said the victims range in age from 11 to 30, with five listed in stable condition and one critical.
