United Way of Northwest Illinois Seeks Local “Champions of Change”

Freeport, Illinois — The United Way of Northwest Illinois is seeking individuals to feature as part of their Small Town Heroes Campaign. This year’s exhibit will be themed “Champions of Change”. The United Way is asking the community to nominate individuals that strive to create positive change in the lives of others, our communities, and our region.

The Champions of Change exhibit will once again be unveiled as part of the Tour de Freeport event on September 16th at Tutty’s Crossing.

Last year’s inaugural Small Town Heroes campaign was so well received by the region that they wanted to do it again, said the United Way of Northwest Illinois.

The United Way of Northwest Illinois is proud to feature stories of individuals who give of their time and talent so tirelessly to our region, and help to inspires others to join them in their work. These types of individuals truly embody the mission and values of the United Way of Northwest Illinois.

United Way’s goal through this campaign is to not only recognize these individuals, but share their passionate stories and inspire others to get involved in making our communities the best they can be.
