Water Main Break In Freeport Sees Some Residents Under Boil Order

Freeport, Illinois — July 7, 2017 — The Public Works department of the city of Freeport said that last night at N. Greenfield and Yellowstone Court a 12″ water main broke, leaving residents without water. The city engineer said that staff were out notifying residents within the boil order area.

One resident told us  the fire department was at their home last night informing them they would be without water for the next several hours, and under a boil order until sometime Saturday at the earliest.

If you are effected by this boil order, you should have been notified by the city water department or the public works.

If you have any questions contact the city of Freeport water department at (815)-233-0111
