Freeport, Illinois – May 19, 2017 – Wayside Saloon is proud to announce that their Cubs Trivia Night, held on Saturday, April 1, raised $610.87 to support Little Cubs Field.
Trivia consisted of 9 innings of questions that tested player’s knowledge on all things Chicago Cubs. Multiple teams of up to 8 people competed for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes, with Team Javier Baez Another Round capturing 1st place honors. In addition to Trivia, there was a silent auction, drink specials, ballpark food, custom t-shirts for purchase, guest bartenders, and a DJ following Trivia.
Silent auction item sponsors included Bocker Automotive Group, Deininger Floral Shop, Koertner’s Kustom, Inc., Local Beverage, Little Cubs Field, Platinum Salon, Scentsy by Shawna Kreeger, and Wayside Saloon. Guest bartenders for the evening were Amanda Busser and Mandy Akins, along with special helpers Delbert and JoDeen Bunker. Trivia master Jeff Bahr was the event emcee.
“We are grateful for all who came out to support Little Cubs Field and Wayside Saloon for a successful Cubs Trivia Night. Special thanks to our emcee, guest bartenders, special helpers, and silent auction donors. We plan to do more events like this in the future as we believe it is important to support the communities that support us,” said Justin and Amber Koertner, Wayside Saloon owners.
