16 Year-Old Drew Crase of Forreston Victim of Fatal Auto Crash

Carroll County, Illinois — A student at Forreston High School has reportedly been killed in an early morning crash Monday according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.

MyStateline reported earlier today that the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene on Highway 73 just north of the intersection of Highway 72 at around 12:40am. They arrived to find a vehicle laying on its roof in a pond, the car’s driver declared dead at the scene.

The report stated that the car was traveling on Route 73, went airborne, flipped over and landed in the pond.

The driver’s name was released as 16-year-old Drew Crase of Forreston.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
