Boil Order For Parts of Rock City, Illinois

Rock City, Illinois — City officials state that there is a boil order currently in effect in certain parts of Rock City as a result of a water main break that occurred last evening.

The area of Hillcrest and Douglas, west of Washington and north of Market streets are currently under the boil order, says Village president Charles Halblieb.

Effected residents have been notified and officials aren’t yet sure of when the boil order will be lifted. They are hopeful to have the situation resolved within the next 24 hours.
