Mokena, IL – Presence Life Connections has honored Dean Wright, Executive Director of the Freeport Area Church Cooperative with the Inspire Award, an annual recognition bestowed upon a group, individual or community organization which exemplifies the values of Presence Health: Honesty, Oneness, People and Excellence. The award also celebrates inspirational leadership that advances the health and well-being of the community.
Wright was given the award for his role in providing emergency and transitional housing for those in need. As a community leader committed to the health and wellbeing of the Freeport community, Wright will often walk in the shoes of others by spending time on the streets with just a backpack to truly learn what it is like to be homeless. These experiences help him to better serve the community.
Under Wright’s supervision, the Freeport Area Church Cooperative ensures safe emergency shelter, transitional housing and proper nutrition for many. The Freeport Area Church Cooperative is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide emergency food, clothing, and shelter to those in need in Northwest Illinois and to empower those served.
