UPDATE: Feb. 3, 2019 12:22 p.m. — We have reason to believe through sources we’ve obtained that this morning’s shooting at the Cedar Inn may have been related to the stabbing death of a 21 year old female which occurred this past Friday in Freeport.

The individual arrested in Friday’s stabbing death was a 23 year old man named Chad Blaser. Blaser and his victim reportedly had a child together.

It appears from sources we’ve gathered that Blaser also had a child with another woman, whose name is being withheld at this time. (other woman)

At or around the time of the stabbing death which occurred Friday, this (other woman) was seen posting comments about how she was glad the 21 year female was dead, saying on her Facebook page, “Karma’s bitch to a bitch who talk about killing people’s kids. Hahaha how’s death feel.”

Later she said, “I don’t care about a bitch who talked about killing my kids now my bd killed her hahaha karma is a bitch.”

From sources we’ve gathered it appears this morning’s shooter was the brother of this (other woman). Sources say there was a confrontation in the Cedar Inn bar this morning when the shooter was said to have waited outside for his victims, at which point he shot them when they attempted to leave.

At this time we do not know what may have transpired to lead up to this tragic situation, and we do not have any additional details at this time.

The names of all the victims are being withheld. We’ll update you with more specific details after tomorrow’s press conference at 10:00 a.m.
