Jo Daviess County State’s Attorney Says Officer Sean Patridge Justified In Using Deadly Force Against Troy Boyle

Jo Daviess County, Illinois — August 2, 2017 — In March of this year an incident involving 41-year-old Troy Boyle of Pearl City which resulted in Boyle’s death after an officer involved shooting shook many residents and police alike throughout the region. The Stephenson County Coroner’s office said at the time that Troy Boyle died as a result of a gunshot wound that happened during the altercation with Stockton Police.

The Jo Daviess County State’s Attorney John D. Hay’s office issued a press release today informing the public of the following information pertaining the shooting in which Officer Sean Patridge of the Stockton Police Department fired shots, which resulted in the death of Troy Boyle in Stockton, Illinois at approximately 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
