Freeport, Illinois — Just as the slogan says, Little Cubs Field in Freeport, Illinois is “Big League Fun”. For us residents who get to enjoy the field, it’s almost like a dream come true. Our own little piece of Wrigley Field and the Chicago Cubs right there on the corner of Empire and McKinley.
This summer as in past summers there are a lot of activities happening at Little Cubs Field. For those of you who don’t know, you can actually “rent the field” for family get together’s.
Weddings have been held here, family reunions have taken place here and travelers from all over the country have come to enjoy Freeport’s world famous attraction.
This year International Little League Headquarters in Williamsport, PA has taken notice of Little Cubs Field and will be out to do a special film about how Little Cubs Field came about and the Freeport Community that built it.
Denny Garkey, found of Little Cubs Field says, “They want to talk to the kids that play there now, and played in the past, and the community that built it”.
“The film may be used on their website, at the Little League Museum, and on ESPN during the LL World Series in August.”

Field reservations will begin this year on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 and you can rent the field at www.littlecubsfield.com. All major credit cards are accepted.
