MetLife Auto & Home To Add 150 New Jobs In The Freeport Area

Freeport, Illinois — May 10, 2017 — Earlier this morning, MetLife Auto & Home announced it will add 150 new jobs in the Freeport, IL area over the next two years.

The company will begin recruiting immediately for 25 positions, with the goal to add 25 more later in 2017 and an additional 100 in 2018-2019.  It will re-open its downtown Freeport office, with the goal of bringing both new and existing employees together in state-of-the-art, collaborative environment that fosters innovation and creativity.

The new hires will join about 200 current Freeport-area MetLife Auto & Home employees, who presently work from home, in the newly refurbished MetLife facility, which is scheduled to open in late 2017.

The jobs will be entry level positions for auto and home claims.  The recruiting will be geared towards college graduates with 2-4 year degrees, who want to work in a professional atmosphere with growth opportunities.  In the future, the company will also hire a small number of clerical/administrative support positions for the facility.

These jobs will be found on the MetLife website, as soon as they are available. In addition, MetLife Auto & Home will be making contact with the career services offices at local colleges and universities, to advise current and former students of job openings in our Freeport facility as they come up.
