The Cheese Market Freeport, Is Moving

Freeport, Illinois — Ah, where would we be without cheese. Cheese goes with just about everything and hands down, one of Freeport’s cheesiest local places is The Cheese Market.

“We are the Wisconsin cheese experts of Illinois and know everything about the world’s greatest cheeses”, they say on their website and, we have to agree.

With locations in Rockford and Freeport, Il, the Cheese Market has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years and by the looks of things, they are not stopping either.

In an announcement made earlier today, the Cheese Market said they are planning on moving their current Freeport location about six blocks north. North to the former Williams Manny Insurance location right next to Aldi’s. (shown below)

Staff says they have lots of remodeling to do and plan to start tearing down walls tonight before they actually move into the new location.

The actual date of the move into the new location will be announced at a later time.

Awesome – that will be much handier for everyone! Now if someone would just make it easier to get into Aldi’s and the Cheese Market by removing that middle of the road “whatever it is or was intended to be” to allow easier access, it would be even more awesome!

I agree with you. My biggest complaint is how long the light stays red when trying to get out of Aldi’s. Needs to be adjusted to traffic flow.

Wish they were moving downtown! Lots of great empty buildings.
