FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — Freeport Police report the apprehension and arrest of a Jennifer Adams, age 41, at a motel in Joliet Illinois today. Adams was wanted on felony charges related to a June 5th murder in Freeport where she allegedly helped conceal a homicidal death.
Freeport Police report that during the morning hours of September 11th, 2019, the Freeport Police Department received a Stateline Area Crime Stoppers tip concerning the current whereabouts of Jennifer Adams who was wanted in connection with the June 5th murder of Thomas Fort in Freeport.
Freeport P.D. Detectives forwarded the tip information to the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task and Jennifer Adams was subsequently located and arrested outside of a motel in Joliet Illinois on today’s date at approximately 1:00pm.
Personnel from the Will County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Task Force were also present and assisted the Marshal’s Task Force with the apprehension. Jennifer Adams will be held in the Will County Jail until she can be extradited to the Stephenson County Jail.
