Freeport, Illinois — An absolute favorite place of ours is the observatory located by hole number 8 on the East course of Park Hills golf course.
The Doug Firebaugh Obersvatory, formerly known as the JETS Observatory has been a unique landmark in Freeport to observe the many wonders of Space.
We were out to the obsveratroy recently to have a look around and catch up on this years opening schedule. We ran into Tom Dunmore who gave us some details.
The Doug Firebaugh Obersvatory is a place lifelong memories happen so this season, come out by yourself or bring the entire family and discover some breathtaking views of space.
When The Roof Slides off This Place, You Can See All The Wonders of Space. An absolute favorite place of ours is the Observatory. Celebrating 50 years in Freeport this year and a favorite to all those who’ve tee’d off hole #8 on Park Hills east golf course. 🙂
