FSD Begins Registration For K-8 Summer Learning Opportunities

Freeport, Illinois — This year, Freeport School District will once again offer an enrichment model of summer learning that is open to all district students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

From April 9th to April 27th, parents will have the opportunity to register their students for Summer University 2018. Summer University is an exciting and unique opportunity for FSD students in Grades K-8 to get a “boost” in math and reading, and/or engage in a fun and interesting enrichment class of their choice. Sessions will be held June 11th to July 12th.

Summer University is an enrichment program developed to provide students with a variety of hands-on opportunities that focuses on leadership & team-building while acquiring 21st Century skills of collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication. Below are a few of the courses being offered. You can view our Course Catalog for a full listing of courses at your child’s school building or on the district website.

For instructions on how to register a student, parents can go online to www.fsd145.org and click on the Summer University 2018 link. Those without access to online registration may visit their child’s school to register.
