Freeport, Illinois — The Lake County, Illinois Sheriff’s Office along with U.S. Marshals Service and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force were in Freeport last week tracking down a person with an outstanding warrant.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office reports that former Lake County resident Christopher D. Bradin, 29, of Freeport, was wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.
The report states that Bradin was located inside the residence of the 1100 block of Carroll Ave in Freeport, Illinois where he was arrested and transported to the Stephenson County Jail. Lake County stated that Bradin will remain held at the Stephenson County Jail pending extradition.
While we were unable to locate Bradin in either the Lake County or Stephenson County sex offender database, the Chicago Tribune reports that Bradin failed to register as a violent offender against a youth after a conviction for aggravated battery to a child under 13 years old in 2015.
The report says Bradin violated his probation by not registering and being additionally charged with aggravated domestic battery/strangulation in a Gurnee case in 2016, according to court records.
