Freeport, Illinois — The Children’s Hands-On Museum of NW Illinois held its inaugural Frosty Ball this past Saturday evening, January 27, at Grand River Hall, Freeport. The event was intended as a fund-raiser for the Children’s Hands-On Museum to settle in a permanent location.

Over 150 began the evening with a social hour and bidding on a wide variety of donated silent auction items. The dinner catered by The Rafters of Lena consisted of herb-encrusted pork loin, salad, and vegetables.

A dessert table of donated cupcakes, cookies, and confections created by area bakers topped off the meal. Entertainment and dance music was provided by Back Country Roads.
