4 Seasons Bowling Center ‘Place To Be’ For The Great Lakes Bowling Conference This Weekend

Freeport, Illinois — There aren’t many times our Highland Community College bowling teams find themselves with a slight “home field advantage” but this weekend, Highland, along with the entire Great Lakes Bowling Conference will compete at The 4 Seasons Bowling Center in Freeport, Illinois.

Jeff Johnson says that both Highland Cougar Men and the Highland Lady Cougars will take to the lanes Saturday at noon for 6 team games of qualifying and 9am on Sunday for 16 Baker-style games. Highland will be the smallest of the collegiate teams in the competition but are expected to fare well in this tournament.

Highland Men are currently the 33rd ranked team in the nation amongst all colleges and universities in the nation – and the the #1 ranked NJCAA team in the nation. The Lady Cougars are the 62nd ranked women team amongst all colleges and universities and the #3 ranked NJCAA school in the nation.

Teams that will be competing in Freeport are Highland CC, UW-Whitewater, UW-Madison, University of Iowa, Iowa State University, Minnesota State – Mankato, Western Illinois University, UW-Milwaukee, UW-LaCrosse, Winona State University, UW-OshKosh, UW-Stout, Viterbo University, UW-Platteville, UW-EauClaire, Milwaukee School of Engineering, UW-Green Bay, Rock Valley CC, and Northern Michigan University.
