5 Fun Halloween Events Including a Halloween Parade This Weekend in Downtown Freeport
Freeport, Illinois — Halloween is just around the corner and this weekend in downtown Freeport enjoy five fall fun activities sure to make Halloween a great time for anyone. Mark your calendars for these upcoming Halloween events planned in downtown Freeport.
Friday October 27:
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chili Friday Cook-Off: Start at FDDF, 101 W. Main. $4 and many chilis to taste and score.
8 p.m. Halloween Parade: Starts near post office and runs down Chicago Ave. Turns left on Chicago and ends at State St. The winning chili gets $100 for the charity of their choice and the hosting business gets a traveling trophy.
9:15 p.m. Rocky Horror Picture Show: Winneshiek Players presents this annual Halloween tradition. $15 at the door, $10 in advance.
Saturday October 28:
Bootiful Saturday: Minions movie starts at the Lindo Theatre at 10 a.m. for $1. Trick or treating downtown begins at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. Participating businesses will have an orange sign in their window and the Lindo will be passing out a list.
Sunday October 29:
Camelot movie starts at the Lindo Theatre at 12 p.m. for $6.

Shame is supposed to rain on Saturday. Hopefully that changes so the kids can all have fun!
