David Victor Formerly of Boston To Bring Hits Of Boston And Styx To Monroe Center October 4

MONROE, WISCONSIN — What do you get when you combine all the smash hit music of the two great American classic rock bands BOSTON and Styx, into one power-packed show? The answer is David Victor formerly of BOSTON – “The Hits of Boston and Styx.”

As a former vocalist/guitarist for the multi-platinum band Boston, David Victor performed on back-to-back North American tours and recorded a #1 charting classic rock single “Heaven on Earth”. Now forging his own path with his latest project “David Victor Formerly of Boston,” the versatile singer is bringing his passion-fueled performance to Monroe Center on October 4 at 7:30 PM with an evening of classic rock favorites and new original songs.

David Victor formerly of Boston (previously known as “Bostyx”) performs all the greatest hits of Boston and Styx including “More Than a Feeling”, “Peace of Mind” and “Foreplay/Long Time”. The band also features spotlight performances of music that influenced the band members’ careers, and for the first time ever, original music written by Victor and the band.

“There are five songwriters in this band and a wealth of production talent. I’ve produced three albums of original music. As performers, we see what audiences respond to. Our audience has requested originals from us for years, and we’re gonna do it this year. New music is the lifeblood of any band,” said Victor.

The band features a spectacular lineup. Bassist Manny Aguirre handles complex melodic lines with groove and dexterity, and guitarist/keyboardist Victor Bender moves easily from dizzying keyboard arrangements to blistering rhythms on guitar. All band members sing and perform a spotlight song on lead vocals.

Victor joined Boston to record in 2010 and performed on their 2012 and 2014 North American tours. He also appeared at the “Boston Strong” benefit for the Boston Marathon bombing victims. During Boston shows, Victor sang hits including “Peace of Mind”, “More Than A Feeling” and Boston’s other #1 single from 1986, “Amanda”.
