FREEPORT, Ill., — According to the American Automobile Association, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death and injury for all children, but a properly installed and adjusted car seat can reduce a child’s risk of both. FHN and the Safe Kids Winnebago Coalition are sponsoring a free car seat safety check Oct. 26 in Freeport.
Parents are invited to bring their children in their car seats to the east parking lot of FHN Specialty Care – Harlem Avenue, 25 N. Harlem Avenue in Freeport, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26. No appointment is necessary for this inspection and adjustment by a certified child car seat technician.
