“Kids who read for fun do better in school than those who don’t. If they’re allowed to read based on their own interests, they’re more likely to build up the habit of reading and continue to do so, which is good for them, their schools, and our community. The library is here to help nurture that spark and help build a community of interested, engaged people,” says Youth Services Supervisor Anna Doyle.
