Freeport, Illinois — The Stephenson County Farm Bureau and our local favorite summer hangout spot, the Union Dairy is proud to announce the 2017 Town and Country Classic Tractor Caravan. At 7:00 a.m tractors begin arriving at the parking lot just south of the Rawleigh Building, at the corner of Adams Avenue and Liberty Street in Freeport, where drivers are treated to a continental breakfast (rolls, fruit, coffee, juice and milk) prior to departure.
At 7:30 a.m tractors depart on the 43-mile “Town & Country Classic Tractor Caravan” on all-weather roads through northeast and central Stephenson County. The route will include a scenic meandering country route with rest stops at Casey’s in Dakota (mile 12) and BOCO Mart in Orangeville (mile 28). For the riders they will have cold beverages and snacks at both stops, and the Stephenson County Sheriff’s Reserve will again provide traffic control for us.
