FREEPORT, ILLINOIS — On Thursday March 12th, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., local area high school juniors and seniors in Stephenson, Carroll and Jo Daviess counties with disabilities, and parents who are interested in learning more about transitioning from high school to college, employment and independent living after they graduate will meet at Highland Community College in Freeport, Illinois.
Students will have a chance to become more motivated from speaker Tim Connors, get an introduction to Highland Community College and support services, sit in on an in-depth panel discussion covering big topics of transition from high school to adulthood.
Students receive a complimentary pizza lunch, and visit and connect with booths from local area agencies:
- RAMP, the Division of Rehabilitation Services
- Malcolm Eaton Enterprises
- Freeport Health Network
- Highland Community College
