Freeport, Illinois — Suffering from bad headaches, a healthy Justin Sager wondered why he was feeling the way he had been lately. On October 19, 2016 not feeling well, he went to the hospital.
The doctors at Freeport’s FHN hospital did a CT scan which showed a mass on Justin’s brain. He was immediately transported to St. Anthony’s where he was placed in ICU for the next few days.
As more tests were performed including two MRIs, that is when Justin and his family found out the possibility it was cancer. On October 25th, 2016 Justin returned to St. Anthony’s where they surgically removed the mass/tumor that was then confirmed as GBM (glioblastoma) Stage 4 cancer.
Today, Saturday January 28, 2017 inside the F.A. Read Center in downtown Freeport Justin’s relentless brothers along with his family and the great staff at the Freeport Health Club are holding a Lifting Competition Benefit for Justin.
