Library Summer Reading Program

June 4 through July 29, 2016

Do you like to read? Do you want to earn prizes for reading? Then join the Freeport Public Library’s Summer Reading Program! Everyone gets a free book for signing up, then you can earn prizes when you spend time reading. Reached your reading goal?  Enter our grand prize drawing for a chance to win a bag full of awesome things (for Youth Services) and a Samsung Tablet (for Adult Services). Babies, kids, and teens sign up at the Youth Services Desk. Adults sign up at the Adult Services Desk. Saturday, June 4, 2016 is the first day to sign up.

Check back each week for special events in Youth Services. On Monday and Wednesday, join us for stories at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday we have free family movies and popcorn at 2 p.m. Every Thursday at 1 p.m., there’s a special program or activity for grade school kids.  Teen events include Anime & Manga Club (6/10 and 8/11), a visitor from the Sherlock Holmes stories (7/8), and evening movies once a month.  Other programs include Wii Gaming days every month and a visit from a historical sportswoman, Babe Didrikson Zaharias, 6:30 p.m. on June 8.
